So... i cannot emphasize enough that I have no idea what I'm doing, but, I downloaded Youversion, and what was fun to me at first was flipping back and forth between the different translations. I also had this friend I mentioned, willing to patiently answer a ton of my questions and frustrations, and put things in cultural context, which was imperative to me being willing to keep going. I'm sure there are lots of resources for explaining things in context, but I'm not sure exactly where and what to advise, except that it's important. I was also advised by a few people, to NOT start at the beginning, as I originally tried and failed, but to start with the gospel of John, and then Romans (hence why I'm reading Romans now). It's daunting but I've given myself as much time as I need to explore with an open mind, so I can actually understand what (and why) Christians believe what they believe. I've been very indignant in the past about the bible/christianity, but realized I may as well truly understand it first, and, most importantly, to explore it with a truly open mind, which I've never actually had before. Lots more to say on this, eventually!
I love this! Recently I had been waking up lots in the night. Not normal for me. I started listening to my Bible through the YouVersion app and it totally puts me to sleep. I also love knowing that I’m getting such good encouragement as I fall asleep. It’s so peaceful. And wowwww about your restless legs stopping. That is amazing. I am in place with IG where I want to stop it all together—I notice such a massive happiness difference when I’m off entirely. Just so much more PRESENCE in my here and now actual life. But I haven’t full figured out how to connect with the people I love connecting with their in another way. So curious to continue hearing about your journey. I know you’re back on now—how has it felt to be back on? Anything you’re noticing now?
As soon as they roll out the Android version, I will definitely join your chats! But I agree with you, I miss the bite sized thoughts of social media: that's why I've slowly started getting back on Twitter.
But I'm keeping notifications off and posting and ghosting. It's fun :) and waaaaay less stressful
Are you a fan of a particular bible app? Does it just actually take you to the Bible, or is there more?

Actually, I just remembered: I also watched the Chosen first... I actually don't know if I would have wanted to read it if I hadn't done that first.
Maybe I’ll download the Bible.
